Senior Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products.

Candidate should be located in Canada.

Responsibilities

1. Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code

2. Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements

3. Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards

4. Support test and deployment of new products and features

5. Participate in code reviews

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)

5+ years of relevant work experience

Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Database Design, and XML Schema

Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres), including complex queries and optimization

Strong hands-on, object-oriented, PHP skills, ideally in combination with frameworks like Laravel or Symfony, with understanding of advanced concepts in design patterns

Strong frontend technology skills in React/Typescript

DevOps experience with AWS, Jenkins, Pipelines, Docker etc

Proven track of architecting and delivering scalable, distributed cloud-based systems, RESTful API design, microservices, preferably in AWS

Knowledge and hands-on experience in CI/CD design and automation to facilitate continuous delivery and deployment

Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies

Hands on experience with Linux/UNIX Scripting or other shell scripting

Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
